Music, People and Time
"DECADES," which was originally known as "VINTAGE," started in September of '81 at Pasay Rd. in Makati City. It was the brainchild of Carmen "Baby" Collantes, and the late Johnny Borromeo, who used to own "TEN YEARS AFTER" in Malate & Quezon City. After a few years, it transferred to a bigger location at Jupiter St, in Bel-Air to accomodate it's growing clientele.
In 1995, the management decided to give the bar a timeless approach, Thus changing the name from "VINTAGE" to "DECADES." It was opened on November of that same year at the Sunvar Plaza bldg, also in Makati. Because of its success, "DECADES" opened another branch at Tomas Morato in Quezon City. And much to the surprise of many, it was very well received by the QC crowd. On Weekends, the crowd would overflow & would cause a tremendous amount of traffic at the Tomas Morato strip.
After about two years of staying in Morato, "DECADES," decided to transfer to a bigger & better location at Roces Avenue, also in the heart of Quezon City. Just a few blocks from the old Morato outlet.
"DECADES," has just opened it's newest branch at the Metrowalk in Ortigas Center (The former Payanig site). So please do check it out!!!
